GoldStar Amusements Bring New Level of Excitement to 2011 Clay County Fair
Spencer, Iowa – GoldStar Amusements will be coming to the 2011 Clay County Fair September 10-18! Fairgoers will get to experience an entirely new line up of rides in addition to the crowd pleasing Crazy Mouse.
Over the past decade, GoldStar Amusements have built a reputation of creating an atmosphere where children are safe and families can enjoy themselves. GoldStar Amusements is a family run carnival owned and operated by Mike Featherston, upcoming chairman of the Outdoor Amusement Business Association (OABA). OABA, with the expertise of Featherston, wrote the standard for safety in the outdoor amusement industry. GoldStar Amusements prides themselves on safety and professionalism while delivering a state fair quality carnival.
Among the many new rides coming to the Clay County Fair this year are SUPERSHOT, a thrilling drop tower providing riders with an exhilarating experience as they descend toward the ground from a height of 7 ½ stories at a breathtaking speed in excess of 3 ½ G force. For those eager for dizzying speed, the MUZIK EXPRESS will take riders on a trip backwards and forwards with alternating slopes and a maximum speed of 12 rotations per minute; while the giant Egyptian themed swinging ship, the PHARAOH’S FURY will have riders hanging on for dear life as the ship seems to defy gravity by almost making a complete 360 degree rotation. Adults and children alike will go wild for the DIZZY DRAGON as they step into the belly of the silly dragon and take off on a circular adventure. The ROCKIN TUG will delight children as the boat begins to rock back and forth all while rotating; giving riders the sensation of riding the waves on the high sea.
