Rising Country Music Superstar Dierks Bentley to perform at 2011 Clay County Fair

Spencer, Iowa – The Clay County Fair Grandstand Stage will feature the high energy performances of rising country music superstar, Dierks Bentley, and his special guest, Frankie Ballard, on Sunday, September 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Bentley’s previous five albums have sold over five million copies, earned 10 GRAMMY nominations, and included seven number one hits including: “What Was I Thinkin,” “Come A Little Closer,”  “Settle For A Slowdown,”  “Every Mile A Memory,”  “Free and Easy (Down The Road I Go),” “Feel That Fire,” “Sideways” plus 12 Top 10 hits.
In addition Bentley’s newest rowdy sing-a-long party single “Am I The Only One” is racing up the charts, as the lead single off his upcoming Capitol Nashville album.  Bentley’s new album follows in the footsteps of his critically acclaimed Up On The Ridge, which earned Album of the Year nominations at the ACM, CMA and GRAMMY Awards this year
Rising country star, Frankie Ballard will appear with Bentley at the 2011 Fair. Ballard’s bluesy, rock music was first noticed in 2008 after winning Kenny Chesney’s “Next Big Star” regional contest in Michigan. He signed his first major-label contract in 2009, moved to Nashville, and followed with the wildly successful single, “Tell Me You Get Lonely,” which reached top-five on the video charts.

In 2010, Ballard toured with country star, Uncle Kracker, followed by releasing his second hit, “A Buncha Girls,” which is currently on the charts. The singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist’s self-titled debut album was released May 24.
