IMCA racing action to hit Clay County Fair Speedway tonight
Spencer, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars, Sportmods and Hobby Stocks will take to the track at the Clay County Fair Speedway tonight, with hot laps beginning at 6:30 p.m. and racing to follow.
Featured classes include IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars, Sportmods and Hobby Stocks. The cost for tickets is $15 for individuals 16 and over, $5 for individuals 15 and under and $35 for a family pass.
Drivers from all over Iowa and Minnesota are expected to appear. Race producer Joe Ringsdorf says, “Drivers have been really impressed with the 3/8 mile track at the Clay County Speedway, so we expect to see a good car count in each of the features.”
Ringsdorf estimated that around 90 to 100 cars will appear to race. Drivers including Ricky Stephan, Jay Noteboom, David Smith and Eric Dailey are among many expected to race.
The International Motor Contest Association (IMCA), serves as the largest and longest running sanctioning body in auto racing. The association runs by standard rules that apply across the boards for all the IMCA races. IMCA works to make the races affordable and fair for drivers throughout the country.
The race tonight will serve as the first of three summer races at the Clay County Fair Speedway. The next race is scheduled for Thursday, July 22 and the third summer race is set for Thursday, August 19.
